Responsibilities

ITP-Boys 1 & 2 Creator, Director, Co-Author, and Co-Speaker; Video Productions Specialist; Liaison between the GAT Board/Committee and the Texas Men's Program / Men's State Chairman.

Professional:

  • Assisted and Taught Preschool (1987-1994);
  • Teacher, Head Coach, and Program Director of Recreational/Competitive Boys Gymnastics Classes/Pre-Teams/Teams, and Rock Climbing Classes. Working at Eagle's Wings Athletics with long time friend Bret Stout;
  • Past & Present Certifications: PDP, KAT, ITP, CPR, Athlete Wellness, First Aid - Health Emergencies, and Being a Nationally Rated Men's Judge (1991-present);
  • Boys Teams Won Several State and/or Regional Event, All-Around, and Team Awards (1993-present);
  • Earned a College degree from UNT in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, and Health (1993-1996);
  • Taught Third Grade at Lake Highlands Elementary School (1996-2000);
  • Taught Gymnastics in RISD's Summer School (1997 & 1998);
  • Speaker for Recreational Classes and Compulsory Boys Teams (1999-present as needed); ITP1-Rec (Instructor Training Program - Recreational) Co-Author & Past Co-Speaker (1999-2001);
  • Creator of Men's Developmental Gymnastics Training Videos/CDs (1999-present);
  • GAT Board Member (2000-present);
  • Past GAT Website Liaison (2000-2004);
  • Past GAT Directory Editor (2001-2005);
  • Helping Create Instructional Videos of and for Speakers in the Men's and Women's Programs (2001-present as needed);
  • Won the National Beginner Boys Class Video & Lesson Plan Contest (2002);
  • ITP-Boys 1 (Instructor Training Program for Teachers & Coaches of Boys Recreational Classes and Compulsory Teams - Beginners up to Level 7) Creator, Director, Co-Author, and Co-Speaker, Updated for the 2009-2012 Quadrennium (2002-present);
  • Spoke on "Fun, Safe, and Productive Strategies for Teaching and Coaching Boys Classes and Teams" at the National Congress (2003);
  • Michael Sims Scholarship Committee Member - Secretary (2004-present);
  • ITP-Boys 2 (Instructor Training Program for Teachers & Coaches of Older &/or Optional Team Boys - Levels 8, 9, & 10 + High School & College) Creator, Director, Co-Author, and Co-Speaker, Updated for the 2009-2012 Quadrennium (2006-present every other year).
  • Men's Intercollegiate Gymnastics Support (MIGS) Program - Region 3 Representative (2008-present);
  • Region 3 Education Committee Member/Speaker (2008-present);
  • Nominated for & Received the Level 4 & 5 North State Coach of the Year Award (2009)
  • Nominated for the Level 6-10 State Coach of the Year Award (2009)
  • USAG-TX Men's Program State Executive Committee Member as the GAT Liaison (2002-present)

 


Personal:

  • Greg and his Family Spent Three Years Building their House from Scratch on their Land.
  • Greg Loves Spending Time with Family and Friends - Seeing Movies; Going Cruising, Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowblading, Rock Climbing, Skydiving, Building at home and the gym and More!
